To write something meaningful about water without immediately publishing a whole book is only possible by focusing on a few specific aspects:

General knowledge is assumed

The focus is on health-relevant aspects

Water – a liquid gas

Water – H2O – consists of two gases, hydrogen gas and oxygen gas, which together form the liquid water molecule. Hydrogen and oxygen are very contrasting gases: oxygen gas is aggressive and oxidizing, while hydrogen gas is passive and reducing. Oxygen corresponds to Yang in Chinese teachings, and hydrogen to Yin. According to current knowledge, outer space contains almost exclusively hydrogen atoms; on Earth, however, oxygen is the most common element, with oxygen making up around 50% of the Earth’s weight. Yin and Yang are the poles from which life arises. Hydrogen and oxygen form water, which is the foundation of life. Many water molecules form liquid water – and in each of these molecules, there is an electrical voltage of 1.78 volts between the active Yang (oxygen) and the passive Yin (hydrogen). Thus, water theoretically has an immense energy density, even if no one has yet succeeded in making this directly usable for technical purposes. Fundamentally, it should be noted that the character of water is that it unites opposites and is very rich in energy, yet remains harmless.

Water – a liquid crystal

Water can be viewed not only chemically as a liquid gas, but also physically as a liquid crystal. In H2O molecules, the two hydrogen atoms form an angle of 104.5° with the oxygen atom, creating an almost regular tetrahedron (the angle in a regular tetrahedron is 109.5°). Many water molecules form a spatial structure held together by so-called “hydrogen bonds,” which can be thought of, for example, as an octahedron composed of 20 tetrahedra. The physical similarity of water to a quartz crystal (SiO2) is interesting; however, unlike quartz, tensions always arise in the three-dimensional water structure due to the slightly irregular tetrahedra, as they always leave small “gaps.” These internal tensions keep the hydrogen atoms in constant vibration.

Water as a charge carrier

Water not only has an electrical voltage within each molecule but can also store electrical voltage – electrons. This is physically measurable as the so-called redox potential, which determines the voltage difference relative to the electrical potential of hydrogen. The redox potential of water is a very significant factor, as the energy content and the structure of the water depend on it. Water with a negative redox potential (i.e., an excess of electrons = high energy) structures itself through additional electrons into a loose, hexagonal form, while low-energy water is denser and more disordered. The charge within the water is distributed such that the electrons concentrate at interfaces and position themselves between the water molecules located near the interface. This is likely significant at the cellular level, as it ensures that high-energy water is always present at a cell wall. The channels through which water enters the cells are “guarded” by aquaporins – positively charged proteins that only allow negatively charged, high-energy molecules to pass, thereby preventing the cell voltage from being lowered by low-energy water.

Water as an information carrier

Water can store more than just electrical charges; the aforementioned physical parallel to quartz crystals, without which modern information technology would be impossible, suggests that water also has the capacity to store and transmit information. Physically, water has four levels of information—areas where information can be stored through vibrations. These are:

Water molecules connect via the so-called hydrogen bond, an electrical attraction between a hydrogen atom of one water molecule and the oxygen atom of another. This bond is very weak, constantly breaking and reforming. Information can be encoded in the frequency and rhythm of the breaking and reforming of these hydrogen bonds between individual water molecules.

The structural analogy to quartz crystals implies that water molecules can potentially store information, including the various symmetries of an inherently asymmetrical molecule.

The tension created by the 5° imperfect tetrahedral angle of the water molecule can generate a vibrational structure within a water molecule.

As with all other atoms, the quantum physical structure of the atoms can store information.

When we consider that water molecules in nature are generally not destroyed but only separated and then reassembled into new water droplets, and simultaneously consider the information content of every drop of water, it becomes clear that every drop of water is unique—at least in terms of its information content—and exists only in that one moment. Every water molecule contained in a drop of water has its own history, its own past. Perhaps water is vital not only because of its substance but also because of the information it transmits? Many questions arise, such as to what extent water information is disturbed or destroyed by technical electromagnetic fields like mobile communications, or to what extent water can be “programmed,” either technically or through the influence of a human energy field?

Practical advice

From the above, it follows that water must be considered chemically, physically, and at the informational level. The chemical perspective seems the simplest, as water should naturally contain no foreign substances, especially harmful ones. Fundamentally, the natural mineral content of spring water has no effect on the quality itself—whether mineral-free water is better or worse for health than mineral water is a question for which there are currently no resilient findings. For those who want to ensure their tap water is free of pollutants, a high-quality activated carbon block filter is recommended, as activated carbon adsorbs all organic components. If you suspect heavy metals in your drinking water, you should conduct a test and then use specific filters—such as those with KDF—that can bind these heavy metals. Water structure can be influenced by swirling and by flowing past magnets, which loosen the water matrix and give it a hexagonal structure. In this way, tap or bottled water, which is “damaged” by pipe and pump pressure, can be returned to a more natural structural form. However, the most important factor for the biological effect of water is its energy content, the redox potential. Tap and bottled water are generally low in energy with a positive redox potential, while fresh spring water is richer in electrons. Through ionization, electrons can be added to the water, creating a negative redox potential. This simultaneously changes the structure of the water toward a hexagonal form without the need for magnets or swirling. Water “information” is naturally difficult to determine. Experiments with various imaging methods show that a person’s energy field has a significant influence on the structure. My recommendation for “positively” informed water is therefore to hold a full glass of water in both hands and send the water some good thoughts. Certainly, the structure and electron density also influence information content and storage. Of course, one can and should drink water throughout the day. Tea, coffee, juice, milk, or other drinks are items of pleasure, nutrition, or medicine. Water, however, is the natural beverage for humans. Drinking water is most important in the morning immediately after waking up. My practical tip: Before the scent of coffee or rolls stimulates your salivary and gastric glands, drink water—as much as you can. Ideally, clean, high-energy, and structured water. Why? For one, we lose a lot of water during sleep through sweating and evaporation, but more importantly, in the morning, the stomach is usually a thin, empty tube. When pure water (not tea, not juice…) enters, the pylorus at the lower end of the stomach recognizes that water contains no substances requiring digestion and lets it through. This hydrates the small intestine, allows its flora to develop, and can dissolve any stuck food residues. Since the center of the immune system is located in the intestinal area, a healthy and high-energy intestinal flora naturally has direct effects on immune status.

The Masterclass

Regularly drinking water is, so to speak, the basic requirement and an important prerequisite for staying healthy. Those who want to go beyond the basics can use daily water consumption to neutralize civilization-related oxidative stress and free radicals by making water a carrier of dissolved hydrogen gas. Although hydrogen is a component of water, its additional intake significantly enhances the Yin property of the water. Biochemically, hydrogen gas primarily neutralizes hydroxyl and peroxynitrite radicals and influences signaling pathways in the body, so that allergic and inflammatory reactions are weakened. In nature, this hydrogen-enriched water occurs in healing springs such as Lourdes or Nordenau, but it can also be produced by technical devices, so-called hydrogen water machines, as well as in water ionizers, or it is created through the contact of water with metallic magnesium.

The Author

Dipl.
